2. Data we collect
- Quote and contact requests: company name, country, contact person, e-mail, phone, project location, dates, number of people and your message.
- Occupants of our housing: identity data and a copy of the ID document of each person staying, collected only once a stay is confirmed.
- Technical data: our hosting provider may record technical logs (IP address, browser) for security purposes.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Answering your request and preparing a quote — pre-contractual measures (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Performing the rental agreement and invoicing — contract (art. 6.1.b) and legal obligations (art. 6.1.c).
- Registering occupants — legal obligation (art. 6.1.c).
- Following up with business contacts — legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f). You can object at any time.
4. Retention
Quote requests that do not lead to a contract are kept for up to 3 years after the last contact. Contract and invoicing data are kept for the period required by Belgian accounting and tax law. Occupant ID data are kept only as long as required by law and then deleted.
5. Recipients
Your data are never sold. They are only shared with service providers acting on our behalf (website hosting, form and e-mail services, accounting) and with authorities when required by law. If you contact us via WhatsApp, your messages are also processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.
6. Transfers outside the EU
Some providers (e.g. WhatsApp, Google Fonts, image delivery) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
7. Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. No consent banner is therefore required.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@mgathome.be.
